Holland Architectural Limestone founded in 2004 as a division of Holland Marble Company in response to our customer's desire for a source of finely crafted limestone products. Holland Marble Company is best known for superior quality and craftsmanship in the production of marble and granite countertops. This uncompromising standard for quality is carried over to Holland Architectural Limestone. The decision was made to invest in the highest quality stoneworking machines available. The result was the installation of a CNC bridge saw and CNC 4 axis mill with a CNC Lathe. Other traditional machines for typical production were also installed including a block cutting saw, a cutoff saw and a planer. CNC bridge saws have unparalleled versatility to mill complex profiles both straight and radial without the cost of expensive tooling for each new shape. The automated controls allow for unattended operation, increased production and lower costs.
Previously this type of work required hand carving or lengthy setups on planers and rarely found circle planers. The CNC mill with lathe is truly a special piece of machinery. It is the only mill so equipped in the USA. It is further enhanced with 3D scanning technology which allows us to produce ornamental carvings by first scanning a model then replicating to the required size. From scrolled vine panels, Corinthian capitals, roped columns, fluted columns, to highly ornamented crests and medallions, the possibilities are fantastic. Historic reproductions from original carvings are an excellent application of this reverse engineering technology.
